Mission:

GAP Ministries helps the Body of Christ to serve and discover Nursing Home residents in two simple ways. One is by connecting a resident with a person or family. Secondly, GAP helps by creating and facilitating a variety of community groups that add life to a facility. Some of these groups include: Inter-generational Groups: Moms and kids come once or twice a month to share a craft, pray, and just be friends. Other groups include Worship and Bible Studies, Art Groups such as painting or crafts, preparing gifts for Christmas year round, and making blankets, scarves, and slippers. Other activities include projects that help residents to participate in a mission outside of the facility. All of these activities help to give life in an often times lonely and sterile environment. Often times Nursing Homes are “abandoned lands.” There are many dedicated staff in these facilities who also need our support, encouragement, and prayers. GAP is a part of “filling the gap” in this area of need as well.

You are never too old to grow in Christ, and you are never too young to make an old friend.”

I looked for someone among them who would build up the wall and stand before me in the gap on behalf of the land.” Ezekial 22:30.

GAP accomplishes its’ mission to “stand in the gap” by helping the Body of Christ to minister and express their own gifts in the abandoned land of Nursing Homes.
